Counseling Student Intern

Kristan Brown is an intern currently attending Texas A&M University at Texarkana’s Master’s Program in Social Work. With a solid educational foundation that includes Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology, Kristan is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community. She is particularly enthusiastic about working with children and families, helping them develop coping skills, navigate daily challenges, and recover from various traumas. Kristan is eager to expand her ability and is pursing Registered Behavior Technician certification to further enhance her ability to support those in need. She also brings valuable knowledge in Alcohol and Drug Counseling, which she looks forward to applying in her work. Her Site Supervisor is Dr. Jenifer Turner-Marks, DSW, LMSW, LPC, Director of Field Education and Clinical Instructor at the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services, and her Field Instructor is Elisha Lambert, MS, LPC-S, RPT-S, ICST.
